Kreisle World is a daily puzzle: you see the outline of a country and have six guesses. Everyone gets the same country on the same day.
Something does not work
Write to hello@kreisle.app. What helps most: which device and browser, the puzzle number (it is at the top, next to “Guess the country”) and what you did before.
A hint is wrong or gives the answer away
That is the worst kind of mistake, because it spoils the day for everyone. Send me the date and the country and I will fix it. The facts come from Wikidata and other sources and are checked before they go out, but no check catches everything.
Common questions
- When is the next puzzle?
- At midnight, your time. After the puzzle you see the countdown.
- Why can I not find a country?
- Try another name: the list knows common short forms like “USA” or “UK”, older names like “Burma”, and the German names too. Tiny island nations and city-states can be guessed, but they are never the answer.
- Kilometers or miles?
- Your browser's language and region decide: miles in the United States and the United Kingdom, kilometers elsewhere.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Kreisle has no accounts, no ads and nothing to buy.
- Where do the maps and facts come from?
- The borders from Natural Earth (public domain), drawn as Germany sees them and simplified. Capitals and languages from Wikidata (CC0), flags from flag-icons (MIT). Every “Did you know?” fact was researched by hand from two sources and checked again against new ones.
